The celebration of King’s Day last year was a great success. This year too, the board of our neighborhood association wants to decorate the Ouvertureplein again. There will be fun attractions for the children from our neighborhood, such as bouncy castles, an obstacle course and plenty of face painting. There is also orange juice, tangerines and other goodies available for the children.
Furthermore, a free market will be held on the square, with the intention that the residents of our neighborhood will find a free spot on the square to display and sell their unnecessary items. Of course, any items not sold will be taken home afterwards.
And all this while enjoying pleasant music. And we have even more in store for you, so be royally surprised.
The Blixems outdoor bar is of course also open on this day and it will probably be super fun for the parents to have a beer or something else (this year we have to work with deposit cups).
There will also be various food stalls where tasty snacks are available for a small fee. We also asked expats to present local dishes from their own country.
The party starts on April 27 at 12 noon and we hope for a very large turnout. Of course we expect good weather, but if it unexpectedly rains on that day, the activities will be moved indoors.
See you on King’s Day.
