It happens in the neighbourhood.
In the Buddy Boldenlaan, the filming for season 2 of ‘The couple next door’ was recently done. The first season was also (partly) filmed here and can now be seen on Videoland, Chanel 4 and Viaplay. It concerns the English ‘Nieuwe buren’ based on a book by Saskia Noort. For these filming, the Buddy Boldenlaan and part of the Louis Armstronglaan were closed for a week and a half and the seasons seemed to have no grip on this location for a while. Since the 2nd season takes place in early autumn, the bare trees were provided with artificial leaves and the garden
planted with flowering plants. Quite a strange sight. The unplanned snow shower also caused some headaches,
but in the end that was resolved well. We are curious to see how our neighbourhood has been portrayed again and whether
we can welcome the crew of Happy Duck Productions Films from Belgium again next year for season 3.
