Defective sewer repaired.
The October issue already contained a report about the defect in the sewer between John Miltonlaan and Kennedylaan. There was talk of a ‘sinkhole’. The repair work on this sewer has now been completed. The fences are still around the work site for safety,
because the ground still has to settle there. There is still a ‘hole’ around the pit at the end of Tempellaan (near the dog walking area). The workers are now working on Hondsruglaan to insert a sock-stocking liningon the inside of the old sewer. They move a piece each time in steps of approximately 200 metres. They will be working on the section up to Huizingalaan until the end of December 2024. In January 2025, the last few hundred metres will be completed up to the connection to the pit at the dog walking area (transition from Tempellaan to Hondsruglaan).
