Craft café,
Knitting, crocheting, punching, knotting, embroidery, felting and needle binding, who still knows these old, sometimes forgotten,
craft techniques? Would you like to learn one of these crafts? Or do you know them, but would you rather enjoy crafting together with others? Or perhaps refresh your skills and enrich them with new techniques? Knitting and crocheting are not at all dusty, but very popular again!
I am an arts and crafts teacher and textile artist and would very much like to share all my knowledge and love of crafts. Not only with the younger, but also with the older generations,
also outside of school. That is why I want to start a craft café.
When?
Every Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 from 7 January 2025
Where?
In the VTA next to the bar, at the sitting area opposite the bookcase.
For whom?
For everyone! From 5 to 95, just join in. Registration in advance is not required.
Costs and materials?
I will bring a large supply of wool, yarns and knitting/crochet/embroidery needles. If you would like to use these, I will charge a small fee of €5 per time. I will be happy to note down your details for lending the needles so that you can continue at home. If you prefer to bring your own materials, you are welcome to join and I will not charge a fee. Of course, you can order a drink at the VTA bar during the café.
What are we going to do? That is completely up to you! If you have always wanted to learn a certain technique, I can explain it. Or perhaps you already have an exact idea of what you want to make, then we will look together at how you can start. I also have a lot of knowledge of tailoring and making clothes. There are no sewing machines available, but I can explain it so that you can continue at home. For questions in advance
