Elaboration of approach to social safety
This year, special attention is paid to social safety within the neighborhood association. Not because there are problems in this area, but as a preventive measure against possible abuses in the future.
During the General Members’ Meeting, this was discussed extensively with those present and the policy was agreed to. A code of conduct has now been drawn up for all volunteers of the neighborhood association. This contains general rules about how we interact with each other and combat inappropriate behavior.
As an organization, the neighborhood association is admitted to the Free Certificate of Good Conduct scheme, so that we can apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct at no cost for a selected group of volunteers who come into contact with minors. This Certificate of Good Conduct is valid for 3 years and is included in a central register of volunteers. We will inform the volunteers involved directly about this. In addition, a confidential contact person (VCP) has been appointed: René van den Hove (see photo). Any incidents and complaints can be reported to him, which will then be treated confidentially. He can be reached on telephone number: 06 53 55 69 20 or by email to: rene@blixembosch.com
A complaints procedure will be set up in collaboration with the ‘Eindhoven Doet’ foundation.
The board of the Blixembosch neighborhood association is responsible for dealing with every report as carefully and objectively as possible. If necessary, the board will therefore call on internal and external experts.
