BANK TALK Overture Square
Today June 7. The sun shines. I can hear the pleasant chattering downstairs above. No birds. They come at different times to enjoy all that remains of our human feasting. The chattering and chattering lures me down. The benches are there for a reason. I am familiar with ?benkskes?. In another place where I once lived they called that public seating furniture ?kuumbenkskes? and also ?liegbenkskes?. I’ll just stick to neighborhood benches? benches for socializing. I’m going to sit. Not only. Another beneficiary greets me in a friendly welcome.
We neighborhood. About anything and everything. We discuss the pluses and minuses of our Square. We are not yet talking about the Work of Art that will appear on the wooden wall of La Scala. We talk about greening the square. We see and regret the deterioration of the little greenery. Technically it should be possible to also arrange large green areas above the parking garage. Elsewhere in Eindhoven it can be seen that a lot is possible. Brainport right!!
I hear news. We will have new benches on the square next week. Model and quantity not known to us. Wait. Surprise. We both hope (no? the three of us now) that they are nice benches. That there are enough for the warm days. While we chat, we notice that the racing ?fat bikes? have one advantage. There are no silencer exhausts. That drives us all crazy. Our fear is that the fat bike circus on the square will sooner or later claim victims. We hope it won’t be one of those sweet playing children. Even less one of the shuffling walker oldies. I decide to resign and write a Pleinpraatje for BLIXEMFLITSEN.
